What a better way to spend the winter holidays than with a ski vacation to Breckenridge, Colorado. Located about two hours away (100 miles on I-70 West) from the Denver airport is Breckenridge, a small and quaint ski town. Breckenridge is one of the most popular and visited ski areas in the world. It has over 155 total trails, with the longest run being 3.5 miles.
Breckenridge is very close to many other ski resorts, including Keystone, Arapahoe, Copper Mountain, and Vail. This means that if ski conditions are not optimal in Breckenridge, you can always venture out to any of the other ski resorts nearby. In regards to accommodations, there are many options from hotel to condo rentals. So there is something for everyone.
Breckenridge is an ideal place for skiers and snowboarders of all types, from beginners to advanced. In addition, this town also offers a great ski and snowboarding school, the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School. This school offers group and private lessons for adults and kids of all levels.
For additional information, please visit the official Breckenridge website. If you are interested in taking lessons, I would definitely recommend my ski instructor named Pete Schmidt, beluga@umbaga.org.
