The Grand Boulevards
No trip to Paris will be complete without doing some serious shopping. The Grand Boulevards are where all the major department stores (grand magasins) are located in Paris, including Galeries Lafayette and Au Printemps. Paris opera house, Opéra Garnier, is also located in The Grand Boulevards.
Montmartre, Sacré-Coeur
Montmartre is one of the most charming and historic neighborhoods in Paris. This is where the famous Basilica of Sacré Coeur is located.
What makes this neighborhood so beautiful are its cobbled streets and the amazing view of the city you get from climbing all the way up to Sacré Coeur. The easiest way to get to Sacré Coeur is by taking the metro to one of the following stations: Abbesses, Anvers or Lamarck Caulaincourt. Start your tour of Montmartre by climbing up the stairs to the basilica of Sacré Coeur. Continue your tour of the area by walking through the cobbled alleys and stop by any of the souvenir shops and restaurants.
If you feel adventurous enough, you can also walk to the nearby district of Pigalle, which is where the Moulin Rouge is located. Pigalle is home to many sex shops, cabarets and strip clubs. It is best to visit the neighborhood of Pigalle during the day, especially as a tourist.
Conclude your tour of Montmartre, by having dinner at Le Refuge des Fondus. Le Refuge des Fondus is a great fondue restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. The restaurant only has two communal tables and two types of fondue, meat or cheese. However, what makes this restaurant so unique is the fact that you can drink wine out of a baby bottle. The restaurant is located at 17 rue des 3 Frères, 75018. Closest metro station is Abbesses.
